Lunch & Mingle
Hospitality, Fellowship, and Community Care
At St. Andrew’s, Lunch & Mingle is more than just a hot meal—it’s a ministry of welcome, warmth, and belonging. On the first Thursday of each month (excluding the summer, September and January), our Fellowship Hall is transformed into a place of connection, where food and friendship are shared freely and generously.
This ministry is made possible by a devoted team of over 20 volunteers who bring their hearts and hands to every gathering. From planning menus and shopping for groceries, to preparing meals, setting tables, serving guests, and cleaning up—these faithful individuals ensure that every detail reflects care, dignity, and joy.
We’re especially grateful for the many community-minded sponsors who contribute in meaningful ways—whether by preparing desserts, assisting with logistics, or simply lending a hand where needed. Our thanks extend to all who sponsor, support, or serve this ministry in any capacity. It’s through this network of generosity that Lunch & Mingle continues to flourish.
Guests often tell us how much they appreciate not only the delicious meals, but the warmth of the community that surrounds them. It’s this fellowship—this spirit of kindness and inclusion—that truly nourishes.
Any leftover food from Lunch & Mingle is shared with local outreach programs in Markham, extending the ministry’s impact beyond our walls and into the wider community.
Lunch & Mingle is one of the ways we live out our calling to be a caring, Christ-centred church. It reflects who we are—people who believe that love can be shared one plate, one smile, and one conversation at a time.
