Thank you for your continued support. Tithes and offerings are an important part of our faith and we are thankful for your willingness to give and support our ministry and community. Your contributions help us continue to spread our message of love and compassion to those in need. There are a number of ways you can give this week.
1. Interac E-Transfer
Send an e-transfer to givetostandrews@gmail.com. Be sure to include your envelope # or first & last name & contact information in the message box so we can issue you a tax receipt. More info can be found online at: http://standrews-markham.ca/give/.
2. In-Person
Place your offering on the offering plate when you join our in-person worship service.
3. PAR Program
Pre-Authorized Remittance allows for a monthly withdrawal from your bank account. Contact Alex Szucs or the church office for more information.
4. Mail
Submit your tithes and offerings by mail, by sending a check to the church's address. St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 143 Main Street North, Markham ON, L3P 1Y2. For your convenience, post-dated cheques are also accepted.

Faith and Fellowship Bible Study
We will have our final study on May 8th. The next few studies will be on "The Lord's Supper".

- Why is it important?
On May 15th, we will enjoy a luncheon together to mark our final meeting. We will resume our study group in September.
Our Faith and Fellowship group meet every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Scott Room at the church.

Prayer Requests for Our Community
This week, please consider adding the following to your prayer time:
1. We give thanks for the service of all former PCC mission staff who worked with the church outside of Canada in creative and courageous ways and often under difficult circumstances.
2. We pray for our church’s incredible history and that, with faith, we will pass on our heritage to generations who will follow us.
3. We pray for the many members of the PCC on various ecumenical church councils and working groups, as well as representatives involved in interfaith conversations. We thank God for their involvement and the ways we connect with other Christians and faith traditions.

Evangel Hall
Sandwiches:
We are excited to continue our vital outreach program by delivering sandwiches to Evangel Hall on the fourth Wednesday of every month. If you would like to be a part of this initiative, all you need is a loaf of bread and enough egg, tuna, salmon, chicken salad, or other protein, to fill your sandwiches. Click this link for "recipe" ideas.
*NEW PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS*
To participate...
- Make a full loaf of sandwiches.
- Place each sandwich in an individual sandwich bag. Sandwich bags are available in the Narthex.
- Write on the sandwich bag the type of sandwich (chicken salad, egg, tuna, etc.).
- Write the date the sandwich was made.
You can then drop off your contribution at the church on Tuesday (any time) or Wednesday morning between 8:30 am and 9:30 am at the back (east) door.

Visit their website for more needed items. Clothing donations are given to Evangel Hall on the fourth Wednesday with our sandwich delivery.
Markham Food Bank
This week consider donating a non-perishable item(s) to the Markham Food Bank. Donations can be dropped off in the narthex. Alternatively, you may make a cash donation. Simply, write Markham Food Bank on your offering envelope and we will ensure the funds are forwarded.

VICTORIA DAY VIRTUAL MARKET COMING SOON
For many Canadians, the Victoria Day holiday weekend is the time to start thinking about summer. For many of us, and for our friends and neighbours, it has just been too long since we could order and stock up on the extremely popular St. Andrew’s meat pies. This holiday in May seems like a wonderful occasion to launch our first Virtual Market for 2024.
Mark down the date, Friday, May 3rd. This is when we can start taking your orders. For those who love our homemade and delectable fruit pies, our menu will also include a tempting selection just for you.
The pickup date for this Market is Thursday, May 16th, right before the holiday weekend.
The Market Team has already started to prepare. I invite you to consider our menu when it is released on May 3rd and order promptly to avoid disappointment.
